Overhead insulated cable is an overhead conductor with insulating layer and protective sheath. It is a special cable manufactured by a production process similar to cross-linked cable. It is a new power transmission mode between overhead conductor and underground cable. Overhead cables are single core. Application field:
This product is suitable for overhead power lines with rated voltage of 1kV and below. It can be used as fixed laying or household line. The product is extruded with weather resistant high-density polyethylene and weather resistant PVC insulation outside the compacted copper and aluminum conductors. Long term allowable working temperature of cable: 70 ℃ for PVC insulation and 90 ℃ for XLPE insulation
In case of short circuit (the longest time shall not exceed 5 seconds), the maximum temperature of the cable: 160 ℃ for PVC insulation, 150 ℃ for HDPE insulation and 250 ℃ for XLPE insulation
The ambient temperature during cable laying shall not be lower than - 5 ℃
Allowable bending radius of cable:
For cables with rated voltage below 1kV, the outer diameter (d) of the cable less than 25mm shall not be less than 4D, and the outer diameter (d) of the cable more than 25mm shall not be less than 6D
